Draft:Collective self-consumption

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Collective self-consumption (CSC)[1] occurs when the supply of electricity is carried out between one or more producers and one or more final consumers connected within a legal entity, with their extraction and injection points located in the same building, including residential buildings. An operation of collective self-consumption can be qualified as extended when the supply of electricity is carried out between one or more producers and one or more final consumers connected within a legal entity, with their extraction and injection points located on the low voltage network and meeting the criteria, particularly of geographical proximity, set by the decree of the Minister in charge of energy, after the opinion of the Energy Regulation Commission.

For an extended collective self-consumption operation, when the electricity supplied is from renewable sources, the extraction and injection points can be located on the public electricity distribution network. The collective self-consumption activity cannot constitute, for the self-consumer, the consumer, or the producer who is not a household, their main professional or commercial activity.
