"Closer to the Edge" is a song written by Jared Leto and performed by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. Produced by the band, co-produced by Flood, the track is the seventh track and the third single from their third studio album This Is War. It was released in the US on August 20, 2010.[1] Leto later released a re-recorded and electronic version of the song with Brazilian DJ Alok and Australian singer-songwriter Luke Hemmings as a Luke's lead single on 2025 from Hemmings's upcoming studio album Back on Your Radio, due to strong demand from fans.[citation needed]
Background
[edit]During this time, she lived in her car and wrote songs on his keyboard which would later appear on his and Shannon Leto's third rock studio album, This Is War (2009).
