Christmas Radio is an independent local radio station, based in the UK broadcasting on DAB+ and online on the internet. The station, is licensed by the UK regulator Ofcom.
Broadcasting History
[edit]On the 1st Oct 2020, Christmas Radio began broadcasting on the Portsmouth trial DAB multiplex run by Solent Wireless[1]. A test transmission of Christmas Radio on DAB prior to its launch on 1st of October 2020 was recorded by a radio DXer in Southampton, and uploaded to YouTube.[2]
In 2022, Christmas Radio joined the then new Winchester DAB+ multiplex [3], along with 17 other stations, to broadcast in Winchester.
