"Chinna Chinna Kangal" (transl. Small, Small Eyes) is a 2024 Indian song and the second single in the soundtrack of the Tamil-language film The Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Starring Vijay, Prabhu Deva and Prashanth, the film is produced by AGS Entertainment. The track is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and is sung by Vijay himself with the former's late sister Bhavatharini as the co-singer, with the use of artificial intelligence, while the lyrics for the track were written by Kabilan Vairamuthu.

The song was released on Vijay's birthday (22 June 2024), and became the most-viewed video globally on Youtube in the span of 24 hours.

Composition[edit]

The film marks Yuvan Shankar Raja's second collaboration with Vijay after Pudhiya Geethai (2003) and tenth with Venkat Prabhu.[1] Yuvan composed the song in January 2024 in Bangalore, with his sister Bhavatharini in mind to do the singing. However the latter died due to cancer.[2] Therefore, Yuvan used artificial intelligence (AI), with the use of AI voice modelling technology by timelessvocales.ai, for her vocals.[3] Vijay had also sung part of the song, marking the second time the actor sings for Yuvan's composition after previously doing so for "Whistle Podu" from the same album.[4] Kabilan Vairamuthu wrote the lyrics for the track.[5]

Music video[edit]

The music video, a direct clip from the film itself, features Vijay, Sneha, Abyuktha Manikandan and their son in the film as a montage in Thailand.[6] The song was choreographed by Sathish Krishnan.[7] It was filmed during the Thailand schedule of the film, which was from October–November 2023.[8]

Release[edit]

In late April 2024, Prabhu confirmed that the second single would release in June.[9] The track was released on the occasion of Vijay's birthday (22 June 2024).[10]
