Chinese Arubans are Arubans of pre-dominantly Chinese ancestry. According to the World Factbook, around 1.1% of Aruba's population (~1.100) is of Chinese descent and nationality,[1] of which 800 are of Han Chinese descent.[2] Chinese people have been immigrating to Aruba since the late 1800s, namely in search of economic opportunities and have made a significant contribution to Aruba's food scene.[3]
