All fundraising activities go from bake sales & raffles to kids corner at festivals[5][6][7][8][9][10], remote control car racing, individual sporting events.

Myanmar (Burma)

[edit]

The charity started to operate in Myanmar in October 2016 where it is supporting orphaned young boys from the Sasana Yaung Chi[11] Buddhist monastery located nearby the town of Nyaungshwe, in Shan State and in the proximity of the popular destination of Inle Lake. Funding for the welfare of the children includes provision of 2 women to clean and care for the boys.[12] Logistic support and information have also been given to people who voluntarily visited the orphanage in Nyaung Shwe where Children Do Matter still operates.[13] By doing so, more help has been given to the little boys of Sasana Yaung Chi monastery.

Malawi

[edit]

In August 2020, Children Do Matter in collaboration with the Community of Sant'Egidio started the construction of The Green Lotus,[14] an orphanage and shelter for homeless young girls in Blantyre, Malawi.

At the end of January 2022 the first group of girls, who until then had lived on the street, entered the home where they can start a new life.[15]
