The Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) is a Twenty20 cricket league in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It was founded by the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh.[1]
History
[edit]Foundation
[edit]On 29 February 2024, CSCS announced to organize Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) in a press conference at Hotel Triton, Raipur.
The Chhattisgarh Premier League (CCPL) is organized by the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) under the approval and regulations of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The BCCI has granted permission and consent for the event. The primary objective of organizing the CCPL is to identify and nurture cricketing talent within the state of Chhattisgarh, providing a professional and significant platform for local players. This initiative aims to offer grassroots cricketers an opportunity to showcase their skills. To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the CCPL, a Governing Council has been established.[2]
The inaugural season was scheduled to start on 7 June 2024 and conclude on 16 June 2024.The first match played between Bilaspur Bulls and Raipur Rhinos.[3]
