Che' RaKoo Harris (born October 27, 1969) is an American author, producer, athlete, and entrepreneur. He is known for his contributions to media production, music, and his advocacy work. Harris was born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Dallas, Texas, where he faced various challenges but went on to achieve success in several fields.

Early Life and Education

Harris attended Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, Texas, where he earned multiple honors, including recognition by the Dallas Regional/National Alliance of Black School Educators and induction into The Scholars Hall of Honor in 1988. As an accomplished athlete, he served as captain of his football team, earning 1st Team All-District and All-Metroplex honors in Dallas' competitive 10-5A division. He received several scholarship offers and chose to attend Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, on a full athletic scholarship. There, he played linebacker for the 1987 NAIA National Football Champions and earned All-Lone Star Conference honors. In addition to his athletic achievements, Harris was a member of the 1991 and 1992 National Collegiate Black History Debate Team Champions. He graduated in 1993 with a double major in Business Management and Communications.

Career in Entrepreneurship and Media Production

In 2006, Harris founded Ra'Koo Nation Entertainment, LLC (dba RKN, LLC), a multimedia production company focused on music, video production, and online radio and TV. The company managed the music group "The RKN Choppaz" and released several albums including Collector's Edition by Young Phill (2007), Tales of a 4-Father by Ra'Koo (2008), and Hit r Miss by RKN (2009). His music video Non-Negotiable (2012) gained over 100,000 views.

Harris also hosted the "Ra'Koo Radio" show on the RKN Internet Radio/TV Network, which featured over 10 weekly programs on various topics. In 2012, he launched one of the first live-streaming TV/Radio shows, helping to pioneer what is now known as podcasting.

Author and Advocacy

In addition to his work in media, Harris is the author of Convict at All Costs: RA' v WADE and the Way to Impossible, an autobiographical memoir that reached #1 on Amazon's "Hot New Releases" list. The book chronicles his experiences, including his journey to overcome a wrongful conviction in Dallas, Texas.

Harris has been recognized for his achievements, including a nomination for the 2023 "Marquis America's Who's Who Award" and a nomination for Cameron University's 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award.

Personal Life

Harris is married to Felicia Q. Harris, and they have two sons, Bryss M. Harris and Tyrell L. Harris, as well as one granddaughter, Camillia T. Harris.

As of 2024, Harris continues to work in media production, entrepreneurship, and advocacy, sharing his story of resilience and determination.
