Dr.Chandran Vinoth Kumar is a seasoned healthcare supply chain management professional, an innovator, author, academician, researcher, medico-legal expert, bio-disaster management specialist, circularity expert and a sustainability advocate. He holds a doctorate in hospital management and a postgraduate degree in Hospital Management from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He also possesses a postgraduate degree in Business Management from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad. His academic pursuits include post graduate qualifications in Medical Law & Ethics (NLSIU), Materials Management and Labor Laws with Administrative Laws. He is also trained in Comprehensive Disaster Management (NIDM), Health Technology Assessment (AIIMS) and Lean Six Sigma in Healthcare (IIHMR University) & implemented several projects.[1] [2] [3][4]
Additionally, he has completed Executive Education Programs from Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta), Indian Institute of Management (Kozhikode), AIIMS (New Delhi), IIHMR University (Jaipur), Goa Institute of Management (Goa) and National Institute of Disaster Management (New Delhi), Administrative College of India (Hyderabad), School of Planning and Architecture (New Delhi), and Indian Institute of Materials Management (New Delhi).
His career is characterized by a rich, unique and distinctive fusion of academic, research, authorship, innovation and industry expertise, spanning over two decades in internationally renowned institutions.[5] [6]
Dr Kumar is a recipient of multiple awards and accolades from organizations both within the country and abroad. A remarkable achievement is his recognition in the India Book of Records (IBR), Asia Book of Records (ABR), World Book of Records (UK) and Guinness World Records.[7][8][9][10] Notably, he is the first healthcare supply chain management professional in India to achieve this feat.
He is also the first healthcare management professional in India to be awarded with World Book of Records (UK) and the prestigious Guinness World Records. Furthermore, he holds the distinction of being the inaugural healthcare supply chain management professional in India to be awarded the Level 3 (Highest) Badge, “Qimpro Certified Qualitist”, by the Qimpro Foundation, conceptualized by Dr.J.M.Juran, Father of Quality.[11]
He has innovated and pioneered the novel 4D & 5D MUSIC Models for achieving healthcare sustainability,[12] and in recognition of his efforts, he was awarded the “Best Innovator Award” and “Sustainability Champion Award” in healthcare.[13][14]
Dr.Vinoth’s contributions extend beyond his professional achievements. He has organized several seminars, workshops, public awareness campaigns, and conferences.[15] [16][17][18] His passion for writing is evident through many publications and articles in national and international magazines and research journals.[19][20]
He is regarded for his expertise in sustainable patient-centric supply chain adopting CQO approaches, health technology assessments, lean six sigma concepts, circularity and sustainability principles.[21]
