Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, commonly known as CGC Jhanjeri, is a private educational institution in Mohali, Punjab, affiliated with I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. It holds the prestigious National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) A+ accreditation and has a CGPA of 3.46/4.[1][2].
Although CGC Jhanjeri shares the "Chandigarh Group of Colleges" brand name with other institutions such as CGC Landran and Chandigarh University, it operates independently under separate management. In 2012, CGC Jhanjeri was established as a technical campus and currently operates autonomously under separate administration in the locality of Jhanjeri.[3][4][5]The institution has evolved as a critical regional educational hub, positioned in a village strategically linking two significant cities, Mohali and Sirhind-Fatehgarh.
CGC Jhanjeri actively fosters industry connections and organizes significant events. It has hosted notable initiatives such as the Principal cum Teachers Meet in Sangrur[6] and various alumni gatherings across regions like Jammu and Kashmir[7]. Moreover, the college has received numerous accolades, including the Best Placements Award[8] and recognition for its academic excellence.
