Biography

[edit]

He was born on December 9, 1989, in Istanbul. Since 2010, he has been writing articles on various websites under the pseudonym "Michael Sikkofield," and in 2011, he created his own blog under the same pseudonym, where he continued to write about a wide range of topics. Later, he also wrote several books on these subjects. In 2017, he started a YouTube channel where he uploaded videos on ethics, Quranism, psychology, Ayn Rand, and philosophy, with a few months' intervals between them.

He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Economics at Galatasaray University. He then pursued a master's degree in the Department of Philosophy at Yıldız Technical University, focusing on the relationship between religion and philosophy. Subsequently, he earned his doctorate in the Department of Philosophy at Istanbul University.

One week before the 2023 Turkish presidential election, on May 7, 2023, during a rally in Istanbul organized by the AKP, a video clip of Demirel criticizing CHP's presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was used without his permission. Later that same day, Kılıçdaroğlu defended Demirel and criticized the unauthorized use of the video in a post on his X account.
