Carethy is a spanish company based in Barcelona, owned by Laboratorios Vanguard S.L. It operates primarily as an e-commerce platform focused on personal care, cosmetics, and para-pharmacy products. Currently, the company is part of Grupo Fedefarma [1][2] and operates in over 100 countries, with its primary markets being the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Latin America.
History
[edit]Carethy was founded in 2014 in Llinars del Vallés as part of the Bilua Group [3], which also founded companies such as Miscota. With the support of business angels and funding, Carethy spun off from the group with the aim of becoming a leader in the e-commerce sectors of personal care and beauty products.
In 2018, as an independent company, Carethy raised $579,000 in a Series A funding round led by Sabadell Venture Capital and Ona Capital, enabling its operational expansion[4][5]. In the years following, despite being purely online, Carethy expanded into offline retail by opening beauty salons.
By 2021, Carethy's catalog had grown to include over 50,000 products, generating revenues of €15 million.
In 2022, Carethy acquired Bulevip [6][7] to complement its business with a sports nutrition division.[8].
In 2024, the company was integrated into the Grupo Fedefarma [9][10] to strengthen its omnichannel sales and specialization strategy.
