Carambole develops artistic chocolate products with storytelling.[3]

Bonbons

[edit]

Carambole specializes in handmade chocolate bonbons with avant-garde flavour combinations and hand-painted designs. Croissant, miso, regional spice blends, seaweed, garlic are among the ingredients to be found in the bonbons. Margarita's focus lies in experimentation and creating multidimensional flavours.[4] She claims the importance of bonbon flavour having a beginning, middle, climax and end.[5]

Seasonal products

[edit]

In 2023, Carambole has launched its first chocolate advent calendar. Zamoshchina has implemented the game concept into the calendar. The aim of the calendar was to support the artisanal chocolate sector and maintain end-of-year traditions.[6]

In 2024, Carambole has launched another version of its chocolate advent calendar dedicated to spices. It received Silver award from the Academy of Chocolate in London in the category Brand Experience, sub-category Product Collection Design.[7]

Awards

[edit]

The brand has been gaining recognition from the Academy of Chocolate in London since 2020.[8] To date, Carambole Chocolate has received 5 Gold, 7 Silver and 3 Bronze awards from the Academy. In 2021, Carambole received the highest award of the Academy of Chocolate, The Golden Bonbon, for its DZE flavour.[9] It contains the references to the food culture of Georgia and combines the flavours of pomegranate, khmeli-suneli spice blend and walnuts, all considered staples in Georgian cuisine.[10]

Collaborations

[edit]

Margarita Zamoshchina is working with influencers in the field of food and gastronomy. She contributed a chapter to Nadia Zerouali's first book Mooncake - The baking book.[11]
