Cameron Lackpour (born October 31, 1967) is an American technology author known for his humourous and easy-to-understand technical guides to Performance Management (CPM/EPM) software implementation. His first two books, Developing Essbase Applications: Advanced Techniques for Finance and IT Professionals[1] (2012) and Developing Essbase Applications: Hybrid Techniques and Practices[2] (2015) provide investigation and explanation of Essbase theory and best practices. His latest book OneStream Planning: The Why, How and When[3](2021) is co-authored with Celvin Kattookaran. In 2023, he authored an article, A platform but not as we know it - the marketplace in a software ecosystem[4], for diginomica.
He first worked with Enterprise Performance Management technology using mainframe multidimensional databases and moved to Oracle Essbase and has been using OneStream since 2017. He has been in the consulting business since 1996, creating solutions using best of breed planning and analytic tools.
He currently hosts a podcast, EPM Conversations.[5]
