The Buena Vista Beavers football program from 1950 to 1959 represented Buena Vista College—now known as Buena Vista University—in its seventh decade of college football competition. The team was known as the Beavers.
The 1950 Buena Vista Beavers football team represented Buena Vista College of Storm Lake, Iowa. In the team's third year under head coach Bob Otto, the team compiled a 6–3 record (3–2 against Iowa Conference opponents) and finished third in the Iowa Conference Northern Division.[1]

In the team's fifth year under head coach Bob Otto, the team compiled a 5–5 record (2–1 against Iowa Conference opponents), finished tied for first in the Iowa Conference Northern Division, and won the Iowa Conference championship.[3]

The 1956 Buena Vista Beavers football team represented Buena Vista College of Storm Lake, Iowa. In the team's second year under head coach Dean Laun, the team compiled a 3–5–1 record (3–5 against Iowa Conference opponents) and finished tied for sixth in the Iowa Conference.[7]
The 1957 Buena Vista Beavers football team represented Buena Vista College of Storm Lake, Iowa. In the team's third year under head coach Dean Laun, the team compiled a 3–5 record (3–4 against Iowa Conference opponents) and finished sixth in the Iowa Conference.[8][9]
Following the season, Jerry Ibach's jersey number twelve was retired by Buena Vista.[9]
