Brazen Animation is an animation studio based in Dallas, Texas. The studio was founded in 2014 by industry veterans with experience at Disney, Reel FX, and Blue Sky..[1] Bryan Engram is the studio's CEO and Chief Creative Officer.[2] The studio’s mission is to produce meaningful content that inspires and uplifts, aiming to “elevate the human condition.” Brazen Animation creates a range of animated content, including commercials, game trailers, music videos[3], shorts, and feature films.
History
[edit]The studio has created animation for numerous prominent studios, agencies, and brands, including DreamWorks, Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, United Artists, 20th Century Fox, Riot Games, Epic Games[4], Electronic Arts, Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft Games, and Wizards of the Coast[5]
In 2024, Brazen announced a partnership with the acclaimed director duo Brandon Oldenburg and Limbert Fabian, known as “InBetween” to bolster their director roster.[6]
Tempest
[edit]Brazen Animation's original IP, Tempest, began as a technical animation test but evolved into a complex narrative centered around a prideful sea captain grappling with loss and redemption[7]. Developed over two years, Tempest showcases Brazen’s ability to blend 2D and 3D animation, effects, and storytelling. [8] In 2023, Brazen won the Angel Studios Torch Award after receiving the highest audience score for their teaser and secured a distribution deal for the project. [9]
