BombSquad is a physics-based single-player and multiplayer party game developed by Eric Froemling. it was initially developed in 2004 before being briefly shelved and then finally released for Mac devices on October 24, 2011[1], and then subsequently ported to Android on September 15 2014[2], it's also available for operating systems such as Windows and Linux for testing purposes. The game is partially open source[3][4], and has support for controllers and cross-platform play.
Gameplay
[edit]The game features a campaign for single-player and multiplayer co-op, and a series of free-for-all and team-based minigames for multiplayer. When entering a level, the player is given a character with the ability to run, jump, punch, grab players/interactibles, and throw bombs. The game heavily focuses on physics for its mechanics, such as using momentum to deal damage from punches, throwing bombs, etc. Players would need to perform certain actions such as spinning and running in order to maximize damage from punches, or to maximize range from throwing bombs. Players can also customize the minigames to their liking. The game also supports modding, community servers, and a rotating tournaments for specific minigames.
