Bogumila Zongollowicz (born 9 November 1955 in Słupsk,Poland), née Trocka, is a Polish and Australian journalist, poet, writer, biographer and documentalist.
Biography
[edit]Bogumila Zongollowicz emigrated to Australia in 1991. Her biographical research focuses on post-World War II Polish migrants and Polish-Australians, their various contributions to the development of culture and science in Australian and Polish societies. She continues the work of her predecessor Lech Paszkowski (1919-2013) who documented the Poles in Australia from white settlement to World War II[1]. Her other writings encompass a wide range of subjects with Polish themes which include feminist studies, literary criticism and the Polish diaspora.
Among her professional memberships are the Australian Society of Authors, the Union of Polish Writers Abroad and the Polish Journalists Association.
In 2019, she was awarded the Medal of Merit for Polish Culture[2].
