Bobir Akilkhanov is a serial technology entrepreneur and the founder of Jafton, an app development and IT consultancy company based in the United States. With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Akilkhanov has founded multiple successful ventures, including Missed.com and the Bobir Akilkhanov Tech Academy in Uzbekistan.[1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Bobir Akilkhanov completed his high school education at TUIS before pursuing higher studies in Australia. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, specializing in software development, from Charles Sturt University in 2004. He later obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law from Victoria University in 2010.[1]
Career
[edit]Bobir Akilkhanov's career in technology began in 2002 as a Data Analyst at iSell Pty Ltd. In 2005, he founded StudentFace Australia Pty Ltd, a social networking website aimed at students in Australia. He also co-founded KupitOtpusk.ru, an online travel booking platform, which later merged with KupiKupon.ru, a leading flash sales site in Russia, prior to 2013.[2]
In 2013, he founded Jafton.com, which has since grown into one of the leading app development agencies in the U.S., employing over 120 staff across four countries.[2]
In addition to Jafton, Bobir Akilkhanov has been involved in several other business ventures. In 2020, he launched Missed.com, a platform that facilitates remote work solutions. He is also an angel investor in Plov.com, an online Uzbek food delivery company in Moscow, which was ranked as Forbes.com's #1 project in 2016.[2]
Forbes Tech Council
[edit]In 2020, Bobir Akilkhanov became the first Uzbek member of the Forbes Technology Council. He has used this platform to promote technology and business culture, sharing insights on entrepreneurship and the tech industry.[3]
