Blake Edward Lynch is an American lawyer and humanitarian who is the founder and Senior Partner of Wagner & Lynch headquartered in McAlester, Oklahoma. Most notably, Lynch was the criminal defence attorney in the Brenda Savage federal murder case[1][2] and defense attorney for the Friendly Market trial in Norman, Oklahoma.[3][4] He is a founding member and president of the Dancing Rabbit Music Festival located in McAlester, Oklahoma.[5] A member of the University of Oklahoma, class of 2006, he would graduate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2009.
Legal career[edit]
Lynch currently serves as Senior Partner of Wagner & Lynch[6] in McAlester, Oklahoma, with branches in McAlester, Wilburton, and Checotah. Lynch is a founding partner of Wagner & Lynch[7] along with Brecken Wagner. Lynch has handled high-profile cases including the federal murder case of Brenda Savage[8] In 2017, Lynch garnered recognition for a "Not Guilty" verdict in the Friendly Market trial.[9]
Community volunteerism[edit]
In 2021, Lynch became a founding member of the Dancing Rabbit Music Festival.[10] A series of music events occurring four times a year in downtown Oklahoma.[11] As President of the music festival, Lynch and festival organizers have brought acts such as John Moreland, Flobots, and Jason Boland and the Stragglers to the festival.[12][13] For his work within the community, he received the McAlester Chamber of Commerce 2022 Volunteer of the Year.[14] The festival itself was recognized by Oklahoma's Travel Industry Association for "Best New Event".[15]
