Beth Kimmerle is an American author, food expert, and the founder and CEO of the FoodTech company Attribute Analytics. Renowned for her expertise in the history and culture of American foods, she has also made significant contributions to food innovation and sensory evaluation, the science of taste.

Early Career

In her early 20s, Kimmerle owned and operated Big Doings, an award-winning gift store specializing in unique paper items, handmade caramels, and jewelry. After a trip across Europe, her fascination with confections grew, inspiring her return to Chicago to join Fannie May Candies. There, she innovated new products and mastered candy-making techniques while training in sensory evaluation. In 1998, Kimmerle relocated to New York City to develop products and merchandise for Starbucks Coffee Company. By 2001 she formed a consultancy practice and began writing books on food history.[1]
