History

[edit]

The Beginning (July 2024)

[edit]

Debuted on July 19 2024. with the debut album "Bayers Lake (Album)", with it not discussed very much. Therefore, didn't perform that well. Josh decided to compile most unreleased songs from last year into an album, which is called "Ω (Ohms)", where some songs achieved some fame, he didn't promote it that much. He said, "I was in love with The Rolling Stones at the time, and Jagger was on Letterman talking abut the 'Top 10 things he learned after 50 years', and Jagger stated 'Nobody wants to hear anything from your new album', and I followed that and it did success a bit with my second album."

First Taste of Fame (Early August 2024)

[edit]

Fame really skyrocketed Bayers Lake into be more well known with his third studio album "The Outer Space". Josh said, "This album is one of my most favorite works I have done right now, I wanted to one up my previous album'Ω (Ohms)'. Because my fame was more known to skyrocket after the release, so I brung over the last four songs from the unreleased songs from last year. And I added in a whole bunch of new songs, and compiled it into an album." Josh also said, "I got the name 'The Outer Space' because I was influenced by 'Fly Like an Eagle (song)' from 'The Steve Miller Band", and the concept of this 'space song' so I made this album more space themed." Josh also said that, "Only If (Bayers Lake song) was a song I made after can't stop listening to The Rolling Stones song 'Hot Stuff (Rolling Stones song)'." Only If (Bayers Lake song) is Bayers Lake number one hit (According to YouTube Music). The cover is shown by a moon with a space feel background. Josh said "The title was originally gonna be called "The Outer... Outer... Outer Space", but shortened because he could've been rejected if the title was originally like that."

Electrical Magnetic Field, First time mixing, Hardest album to make, and Final Rock Album (Late August 2024)

[edit]

Bayers Lake's fourth studio album "Electric Magnetic Field" was out on 29 August, 2024, Josh said, "Popularity wise, it wasn't that impressive compared to my 2 previous albums. In fact, it may have done worse than my Ω (Ohms) album, only one song was a minor hit, and that song was 'Red Alert (Bayers Lake song)', but the rest really fell off, on YouTube Music. I have no clue about any other streaming platforms. But oh well, always a second chance, right?" And he also said, "For me, this was the most amazing rock album I made, and the hardest. Because, me and my family were in a hell hole. So, I was originally thinking of doing it in two phases. But, I did it in almost a week, crazy!" Josh also said, "Figures in Local Tragedy of Love (song) was a song influenced by Pete Townshend, more specifically the song 'Let My Love Open the Door'. And more of the synthesizers, I started off slowly and slowly get faster and up to the highest note I can play. And then I made it so it slowly descent down to the first note. It makes this whirly sound with the type and effect of the sounds." He also says, "'Electrical Magnetic Field was the first album I made that I mix all of the songs, with effects. Before, all the songs were all raw, so all the songs beforehand that you heard, was what it was when I recorded it". It was the final rock album before switching to hip hop.

Hip Hop Change in Direction (September 2024)

[edit]

On 29 August, 2024. Josh said "This is the final rock album, and I am aiming for a more Hip Hop style, and leaving this behind. The reason why is because even before Bayers Lake, I have been making rock music since winter 2023. It has got old and I decided to make it a bit more modern to switch things up. I ain't changing art, I am changing the feeling of art. I compared it to painting an Mountain, and the painter decided to paint a city because he has been doing it since 2018."
