The Battle of Kulp, which occurred in 1991, was part of the ongoing conflict between Turkish forces and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). This battle was notable for a series of clashes in the Kulp district of Diyarbakır Province, marked by significant violence as both sides aimed to assert control. The Turkish military sought to suppress PKK activity, which had intensified in the wake of the Gulf War and amid shifting geopolitical dynamics. The battle resulted in Turkish victory but cause heavy casualties.
