Bailey Tuddenham (born 26 December 1999) is a British television personality and musician. He gained recognition for his role in a stage production of High School Musical on Stage! (2015), served as the head judge and executive producer on the British television talent show Number One (2019), and released his debut single in 2024.
Theatre
[edit]In 2015, Tuddenham starred as Troy Bolton in Disney's High School Musical on Stage!. The production is a musical adaptation of the 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, featuring music and lyrics by various artists including Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, and Drew Seeley, among others, with a book by David Simpatico. Tuddenham performed the lead role across a full series of sell-out shows. Despite the success of this production, Tuddenham has not participated in any large-scale stage productions since.
Television

[edit]In 2019, Tuddenham appeared as the head judge on the British television talent show Number One.[1] The show was noted for its unique format, where contestants participated in auditions before progressing to a live final, in which contestants were mentored by one of the judges and presented two performances: one solo and one as a duet with their mentor.
Number One consisted of three episodes: two auditions and one live final. Tuddenham served as the executive producer for all three episodes. The judging panel included Tuddenham, Jodie Wiggins, and Christopher Willis during the auditions, with Lucie Baker joining as a fourth judge for the live final. The show was hosted by Luke David.
The live final took place at Epic Studios in Norwich, UK, in front of a sell-out audience. Special guests included Jack and Tim, a Britain's Got Talent golden buzzer act from series 18, who performed during the final . Tuddenham mentored the winning act, Abi Flatt, with whom he performed a duet of "The Prayer". Abi Flatt also performed a swing version of "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor, which gained a standing ovation from Tuddenham, as called on the other judges to do so too by stating "I'm the only one with legs tonight, apparently. The only one who can stand.".

[edit]The Isolation Sessions
[edit]During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tuddenham launched a series titled The Isolation Sessions, inspired by Gary Barlow's "The Crooner Sessions".[2] The Isolation Sessions consisted of seven online duets over seven days, featuring songs such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Shallow" from A Star is Born (2018). The final episode featured a group of eight singers performing cover of Gary Barlow's "Sing", in order to raise awareness for the NHS.

In 2024, Tuddenham released his debut single, "Yoko"; a cover of a song by Maisie Peters from the deluxe version of her album The Good Witch (album).[3] The single was released in two versions: a standard edition and a live acoustic version recorded in Norwich, UK. In an interview with ON Magazine, Tuddenham described the song as "full of regret and self-blame," reflecting on mistakes that cost someone the love of their life.[4]
Let Somebody Go
[edit]Later in 2024, Tuddenham released a cover of Coldplay's "Let Somebody Go," featuring singer Lucy Hope.[5] The song deals with the heartache of ending a relationship despite deep love, exploring the emotional conflict between holding on to cherished memories and acknowledging that parting ways is the right decision.
Ten Days Later
[edit]In August 2024, Tuddenham released his first original single, "Ten Days Later".[6] The song captures the emotional turmoil following a breakup after a long-term relationship. The lyrics explore themes of betrayal, distrust, and the struggle to move on while dealing with the lingering emotional impact of the breakup.
