Axel Mazella (born 10 December 1997) is a French kitesurfer in the Formula Kite class. He is a five-time Formula Kite World Championships medalist[1] and Olympic sailor for his country at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Career

Born in Toulon on 10 December 1997, Mazella started kiting at the age of twelve.[2] He won three European titles in Formula Kite between 2019 and 2021.[2]

Mazella took the third place in the 2022 Formula Kite World Championships after Toni Vodišek of Slovenia and Max Maeder of Singapore.[3]

He represented France at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the men's kite event, where he qualified for the finals and placed sixth.[4]

Mazella represents Hyères Kitesurf Association.[5]
