Ava (formally Kris) Tyson (Born July 1,1996 [age 28]) is a former member and co-host of the MrBeast crew.
Biography:
[edit]Ava Kris Tyson grew up in North Carolina and still lives there today. Ava (Tysonboy600) and Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast6000) created their channel in 2012. TheMrBeast YouTube channel has amassed an impressive following, with over 300 million subscribers as of August 2024. Outside of YouTube, she maintains an active presence on Instagram, where she has accumulated a substantial following of 2.6 million users. Ava would appear in many of Jimmy's challenge videos, as well as cementing herself in the Mr.Beast crew. In the video "$1 vs $500,000 Plane Ticket!", fans noticed and commented on her changed appearance from previous videos. She confirmed on a quote tweet about her appearance that she has been taking hormone replacement therapy since about two months before the video's upload. She would later clarify that she would temporarily go by any pronouns and voiced support for informed consensual HRT for gender non-conforming individuals. Though, she did also state the identity label she would go for was yet to be revealed. In June of 2023, She would go on to legally change her name and pronouns from Kris to Ava and would continue to identify as transgender.
Controversies:
[edit]On April 13th, 2023, Controversial drama Youtuber SunnyV2 posted a video titled "How Will The Chris Tyson Situation Impact MrBeast?" Spoke about the situation, taking a negative stance on the situation. He would explain that Kris leaving his wife Katie and his 3 year old son Tucker to peruse transitioning was selfish and also stating that the situation would be a detriment to the Mr.Beast brand. Sunny would go on to receive significant backlash and claims of transphobia by the public. Kris Tyson encountered later (and much more damming) controversy as it was discovered that she had obtained and shared images of artwork by the online artist Shädman (who is an artist that gained controversy by drawing inappropriate lolicon hentai art), as well as purchasing an inappropriate art depiction of a young female character, drawn by Shädman as seen in a tweet from 2018. As well as this, Discord exchanges with a 14 year old minor know by the online alias as "Lava" that had a sexual nature were leaked online following the controversy. On July 23, 2024, Kris Tyson addressed the allegations via a series of tweets, stating her departure from the MrBeast crew to prioritize her family and mental health. This was later made clear by Mr.beast that this is untrue and Kris had simply been fired as co-host of the channel. She denied any involvement in the grooming of Lava and issued an apology for her past actions involving Shädman. The following day, Jimmy Donaldson announced on Twitter that he would be seeking an independent third-party investigation into Kris Tyson’s conduct and removing her from the MrBeast brand, therefore no longer making her part of the videos or being an on-crew screen member anymore.
