Arielle Angel (born c. 1985[1]) is an American writer and magazine editor. She serves as editor-in-chief of Jewish Currents.

Early life

Angel grew up in Miami.[2] Her father's family survived the Holocaust, specifically Auschwitz concentration camp, and her mother's side of the family were Arab Jews who came from Haifa and the area that had been known as Palestine.[3] Her mother was a judge and then reproductive rights advocate, and her father was an entrepreneur.[2] She attended a Jewish day school and then public high school, where she edited the newspaper.[2]

Career

In 2018, Angel joined Jewish Currents as literary editor.[1] She went on to become its editor-in-chief.[4]

Angel is an organizer with IfNotNow.[1]
