He got his first chance for an acting role when he was handed a flyer while was learning haircuts in a barbershop, which was an open audition for Top Boy.[3] He has said that his mother is his biggest inspiration, as well as actor John Boyega after seeing him in Attack the Block. [3]

Career

[edit]

He began his career playing Stefan Tovell in Top Boy from 2019 to 2023, a role that came his way after he got his hands on a poster inviting him to audition for a role in a television series. During filming for the following seasons, he appeared in another Netflix production, the LGBT-themed series Heartstopper in the small role of Otis Smith. He shot two short films during those years, Falsehood (2022) and The Naughty List (2023).[3].
