Early life and education
[edit]Lundberg was born on 20 August 1994 in Helsingborg, Sweden.[2][3] Her interest in acting developed at an early age, and she completed a three-year acting program in Sweden before moving to England to take summer courses at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and the Guildford School of Acting (GSA).[4] Lundberg then moved to the United States to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in New York City for two years to finish her education.[5]
Career
[edit]Lundberg began her professional acting career in the early 2010s, appearing in Swedish television series and short films. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she played various parts in various plays with the New York Company such as “Ani/Sasha/Callie” in “Gloria”, “Gussy” in “Star-Spangled” and “Queen Margaret” in “The Richard Project”. [6][7]
However, her breakout role in television came in 2020, when she played herself alongside partner Michael Sheen in the British comedy series "Staged".[8] The show, which blurred the line between fact and fiction, was a critical and commercial success, earning Lundberg widespread recognition. She reprised her role in the second series of the show.[9]
In 2021, she played Astrid in "Last Train to Christmas", a holiday-themed film written and directed by Julien Kemp.[10][11] Lundberg also appeared in an episode of the British TV show "Gogglebox" where various everyday people are filmed for their reactions to the past week's television, broadcast on Channel 4.[12] In 2022, she voiced the character Marion in an episode of "The Sandman", a Netflix fantasy series based on Neil Gaiman's 1989-1996 comic published by DC Comics.[13] The third and final series of "Staged" was also released in 2022.[14]
In 2024, she played the part of "Jexabel Glyce", the richest woman in the universe, alongside Georgia Tennant in the Big Finish audio drama Jenny: The Doctor's daughter - Saving Time, a Doctor Who story.[15]
Personal life
[edit]Lundberg has been in a long-term relationship with Welsh actor Michael Sheen, and they have settled in Baglan, Wales, close to the latter's hometown.[16] The couple keeps their personal life relatively private, but they have been known to collaborate on creative projects together. On September 23rd, 2019, Lundberg and Sheen welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lyra.[17][18] The couple have since had another daughter, Mabli, in 2022.[19][20]
