Draft:Animation programs at Sheridan College

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Martsegis married Margaret Sivertsen of Minneapolis in 1942.[1] They remained married until his death.[2] During World War II, he served in the United States Navy Air Corps.[2]

Sheridan College's Visual Arts Division established an animation program at the school's first campus, in Brampton. The division chairman placed an ad in The Los Angeles Times in April 1968, looking for professors.[3]

While in Canada, Martsegis experimented with teaching animation to young children. They'd first use a zoetrope, then creating a one-minute film.[4]

Martsegis returned to California in 1974, not fond of the Canadian winter.[4]
