Andy Craig is an English former cellist who played in the band Electric Light Orchestra.[1] He played with the band from 1971 until 1972.
Career
[edit]Electric Light Orchestra
[edit]Craig joined the Electric Light Orchestra in October of 1971 and played in their first concert in the Greyhound, Croydon.[2][3] He was the first ever musician to join the band for their first tour.[4]
He quit alongside several other ELO musicians such as Roy Wood, Hugh McDowell, and Bill Hunt during the ELO 1 tour in 1972,[5] with Craig leaving after the Italian tour.[6] Despite leaving around the same time, Craig did not join their band Wizzard,[7] with him instead quiting music business overall.[8] After his departure, Craig was replaced by Colin Walker.[9][10]
