Amy Arlesa Ronhaar (née Nielsen, born December 17, 1994) is an American literary nonfiction author from Whidbey Island, Washington. She is noted for her 2023 best selling memoir Raising Amy: A Daughter's Memoir.[1]

Early life and education

Ronhaar was born in Island County and lived there until 2005 when she relocated to Fresno, California. Her mother Arlesa died on August 22, 2005. Ronhaar graduated from Woodlake Union High School in 2013. She studied behavioral psychology and creative writing at Fresno City College and has a Metaphysical Science Doctorate.

Ronhaar's memoir Raising Amy: A Daughter's Memoir [1]was self published by Bookbaby on September 30, 2023.

Personal life

Ronhaar has openly discussed her personal struggles with anger and advocacy for abortion. She became engaged to Jonathan Miller in November 2023.
