Performances then followed in the United Arab Emirates with internationally acclaimed tenor José Carreras, the culmination of which resulted in the album “Mediterranean Passion” which was subsequently recorded in Vienna. The Orchestra has performed at the Monte Carlo Formula 1 Grand Prix for Red Bull Racing including in collaborated with Red Bull Air Race stunt pilot champion Hannes Arch in his show “Rhythm and Air”. An album recorded in Vienna with the Japanese rock band Quruli took the Orchestra to performances in Japan. Back in its home country, the Orchestra won Gold and Platinum awards in Austria for the two albums “Ambros singt Moser” recorded with music producer Christian Kolonovits and the Austrian pop icon Wolfgang Ambros. Highlights for the Ambassade Orchestra Vienna also include a CD/DVD of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, moderated by the children’s television reporter Willi Weitzel, as well as performances with soprano Sarah Brightman and tenor Andrea Bocceli.
