Aliyu Saidu Jauro (born 25 May 2002) also known as Haidar, is a Nigerian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and author. Born and raised in Ngurore, Yola South Local Government, Adamawa State, Aliyu is the founder and leader of Simas Group, a conglomerate comprising multiple ventures including Simas Academy, Simas Tech, and Simas Studio.
Early Life and Education
[edit]His father, Saidu Jauro, hails from Taraba State, and belongs to the Yandang ethnic group, one of the notable empires in the region[1]. A retired Nigerian Army officer, Saidu Jauro now focuses on farming. Aliyu's mother, Hajara Adam, is originally from Biu, Borno State.
Aliyu began his formal education at Central Primary School Ngurore, followed by secondary education at Government Science Secondary School Sugu, Ganye, where he graduated in 2018. He is currently an undergraduate student at the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAU) in Yola, pursuing a Bachelor of Agriculture degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Aliyu has continually enhanced his skills and knowledge. He attended the Reuters Digital Journalism Training in 2021 in partnership with Facebook Journalism Project[2][3], earning a certification in digital journalism. He also acquired digital marketing skills through the Google Academy, which have been instrumental in his entrepreneurial journey.
Career
[edit]Haidar began his career in 2016 by running a small blogs, where he shared contents focused on Nigerian cultures. This experience marked his entry into the digital space and inspired him to expand his skillset. Over the years, Aliyu pursued training in web development, and other programming languages for web masters[4]. These technical skills[5] became a foundation for his entrepreneurial ventures.
In 2019, Aliyu ventured into content creation, producing engaging contents that gained attention within his community. By 2022, he launched Hausa Cinema, a project dedicated to promoting Hausa films and storytelling[6]. His efforts have consistently centered on leveraging technology to preserve culture[7], share knowledge, and empower others through accessible platforms and creative content.
Philanthropy and Social Impacts
[edit]Haidar Aliyu is the founder of the Simas Empowerment Network (SEN), a foundation dedicated to providing educational materials to schools in rural areas, donating to hospitals, and supporting youth mentorship programs[8]. His mission is to uplift and empower others through education and community engagement.

He has written books such as Kasuwancin Data (2021), Kasuwancin Internet (2023), Sirrin Blogging A-Z (2022), and Rayuwar Matashi (2023). His works primarily focus on guiding individuals to start businesses in Nigeria[9]. He has also authored Hausa novels, including Kudrat, Tsohon Mijina, Gimbiya Hareera, and Tauraruwa.
