Alish Karki (Nepali: एलिश कार्की; born May 9, 1992 in Nepal) is a Nepali music composer, music director, and background scorer,[1] renowned for his contributions to the Nepali film industry. Since 2012,[2] he has established himself as a leading figure, recognized for his innovative blending of traditional Nepali elements with contemporary sounds. His work has been instrumental in elevating the musical quality of Nepali cinema, earning him acclaim both domestically and internationally.

Musical career
[edit]Karki debuted as a background scorer in the Nepali film industry in the early 2010s[3] and quickly rose to prominence for his innovative approach to music composition. He is best known for his work on the Prem Geet series, including Prem Geet (2016), Prem Geet 2 (2017), and Prem Geet 3 (2022). His contributions to these films have been credited with setting new benchmarks in Nepali cinema.
In addition to the Prem Geet series, Karki has composed music for films like Seto Bagh (2015), Lily Bily (2018) , Bir Bikram 2 (2019) and Love Station (2019). His ability to create emotionally resonant compositions and engaging background scores has earned him widespread recognition.[4][5]
