Alice Chang Oi Lai (1968–) aka Lai Lai Art is a Malaysian artist trained in mosaics, pottery and fine art, who has a distinctive style characterised by vibrant colours and intricate patterns. Her art often reflects her Malaysian heritage and global experiences, capturing the essence of diverse cultures and traditions. [1]
Biography
[edit]Chang was born and grew up in Jerantut, Pahang in Malaysia.
Career
[edit]Chang studied under art tutor John W. Skelcher in Italy and further refined her skills with art historian Professor Yves Larches in Italy and the United States. Her training is evident in her diverse portfolio, which includes mosaics, pottery, and fine art. Chang's works are exhibited at Lai Lai Art situated in Ampang, Selangor. The Gallery doubles up as her studio space where works. The Gallery-Studio Lai Lai Art is synonymous with her brand name.
