Alexandre Amiel, born on April 11, 1974, in Montreal (Canada), is a French journalist, director, and television producer.
Biography

[edit]He was born on April 11, 1974, in Montreal, Canada, to a Jewish family of Moroccan origin. His father was a meat trader. His brother, a close friend of Sébastien Selam, who was murdered in 2003, left France to settle in the United States.[1][2]
Education
[edit]Alexandre Amiel initially worked as a journalist-reporter. He conducted several investigations and documentaries for various television channels (TF1, Canal+, France 2, M6). However, he mainly worked at Canal+ from 1997 and at the Capa Agency. He was one of the reporters for the editorial team of the encrypted channel before spending four years at the Capa Agency and Le Vrai Journal in 2003, presented by Karl Zéro. He was the only journalist to have gained access to Ground Zero after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Career
[edit]In 2004, he founded Caméra Subjective, an audiovisual press agency specializing in news magazines and documentaries.
