Submission declined on 27 June 2024 by Jamiebuba (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Alex Bobl[1] (born May 22 1975) is a Russia-born science fiction author, literary agent and book publisher, the founder of Magic Dome Books.[2] He started writing in 2007 by joining a number of online critique groups and writing forums. In 2009, he penned two novels for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., a science fiction action adventure series set in a post-apocalyptic Chernobyl, based on the computer game of the same name. He also co-authored TechnoTma: The Dark Times, an action adventure series also set in a post-apocalyptic future.
In 2012, his experience in computer game-based science fiction and fantasy led to his becoming a literary agent and project manager for EKSMO, Russia's leading publishing house where he was tasked with pooling new authors for a brand new genre of speculative fiction: LitRPG.[3] The name of the genre was created during a brainstorming session between Alex himself, EKSMO's science fiction editor Dmitry Malkin, and a fellow sci fi author Vasily Mahanenko who was about to become one of the founding fathers of the new book category.[4]
The first books of the new LitRPG series found an eager and demanding readership, prompting Alex to expand their audience into the English-language book market.[5] In 2014, he sets up Magic Dome Books[6]: a Prague-based publishing house specializing in literary translations of science fiction and fantasy, with the focus on game-related genres such as LitRPG, cyberpunk and progression fantasy. Soon afterwards, Alex relocated to the Czech Republic together with his family[1], from where he continues to release new titles in a number а languages such as English, German, French, Spanish, Korean and Japanese, assisted by a team of literary translators, artists and editors.
