Alan Cooling (born 1949) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper.[1]
Career
[edit]Alan Cooling's goal for Hampton in the 1977–78 FA Cup 4th round qualifying against Barnet in November 1977 is thought to be the first goal scored by a goalkeeper in the FA Cup.[1]
At the age of 39, he came out of retirement to play for the Hampton reserves during the 1988–89 season.[2]
