- Comment: The issues with a lack of reception haven't been addressed. Wikipedia isn't a database of information and requires it to be put in context. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 16:05, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Per the previous review, there are no reviews, reception, impact, nor do any of the sources show it having any notable coverage. SlySabre (talk) 20:09, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Adventure 1: Cavern of Riches, is the first of three games in the Adventure franchise. Adventure 1 is a text based adventure game released by John O'Hare in 1980 for the Commodore PET, it was later re released for the Commodore 64 and the Commodore 128 by Keypunch Software Inc. in 1985 and an unofficial release for the Plus/4 in 1988.[1][2][3]
Gameplay[edit]
In the game you must try to collect the twelve different treasures hidden in the game world and return them to their proper place. The twelve items are as follows Trident, Gold, Pyramid, Harp, Firestone, Plaque, Jadestone, Gems, Pearls, Coins, Elephant, and a Diamond.[4] You must solve simple puzzles in order to progress through certain parts of the game and get some of the items. The player can move around in all directions and can pick-up and manipulate items. Simple puzzles must be solved in order to get items and there is little to no story. The game does not feature a save and load system to restore from an earlier game. You must collect all twelve items and drop them in certain places to earn points. There are one hundred and twenty points in the game and each item is worth ten points. If you die you get sent to limbo where you have to move north, east, south, west, up, or down. If you move east you come back to life but if you move in any other direction you go to the gates of heaven.
Glitches[edit]
In the Commodore 64 version, there is a glitch in the game that causes you to not be able to earn any points.[2][5]
