Abdul Quiyum Chowdhury[a][1] is a Bangladeshi politician and President of the Sylhet District Unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP),[2][3][4][5][6][7] He is also known for being a social activist and businessman and his other former high positions.
Early life and education
[edit]He was born on 1 January 1966. He once studied in Kasim Ali Government High School, and later on got, Masters in Accounting in Dhaka University.[citation needed]
Political career
[edit]He is the President of the Sylhet District Unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party[8][9] and Former Vice President of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Jubo Dal and Former Office Secretary of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal.[citation needed]

[edit]He held many high positions like the Political Secretary to Finance and Planning Minister, Former Government Nominated Director of National Tea Company, Former Elected Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board, Former Chairman of Audit Committee, Bangladesh Cricket Board, Former Sylhet Divisional Cricket Councilor of Bangladesh Cricket Board, Vice President of Jalalabad Association, Secretary of Jalalabad Bhaban Trust, Former Vice Chairman of Jalalabad Association etc, and worked with Purchase Committee, Economic Affairs Committee, Salary Reform Committee as well as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, ADB, IDB on Bangladesh Chapter.[citation needed]
