The series follows the cases of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. ATF: New York is the first spin-off of the successful series ATF and the second series in the ATF franchise. it is not a follow CSI: NY.

[edit]ATF follows a group of detectives assigned to the New York Police Department (NYPD for short)'s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF for short) Unit, an elite unit operating out of the (fictional) "New York police headquarters, with its eerie blue light and flickering screens". [edit]ATF: New York premiered on Coming Soon, on CBS in the United States. It was also available on Paramount+ via subscription and on Pluto TV for free. The second season premiered on Coming Soon. The third season premiered on Coming Soon.
Simulcasting in the United States, the series aired on Global in Canada and was available in a StackTV package from Amazon Prime Video. It also aired on Noovo, as a French-speaking program.
Outside the United States, the series was distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. The series premiered on Coming Soon, on Fox in Portugal.
In Italy, it premiered on Rai 2 on Coming Soon, but it was then pulled from Rai 2's schedule on Coming Soon, after three episodes due to low ratings. It begin airing on Rai 4 on Coming Soon.
