Ağamirzə Əhədov

Ağamirzə Əhədov (18 October 1937 - 4 June 2023) was a prominent Azerbaijani businessman, known for his role as the director of Sumqayıt “Karvan İstehsalat Kommersiya Şirkəti” LLC. He was a significant figure in the economic development of Sumqayıt and contributed to various business and political spheres in Azerbaijan.

Early Life and Education

Ağamirzə Qulam oğlu Əhədov was born on 18 October 1937, in Çiyni village, Ucar District, Azerbaijan. He completed his early education in his hometown and later pursued higher education at the Sverdlovsk Industrial Institute, where he graduated in 1968 with a degree in economics.

Career

In 1985, Əhədov was appointed as the director of the Kolkhoz market in Sumqayıt, a position that marked the beginning of his notable career in business management. His leadership skills and business acumen led to his appointment as the director of the Sumqayıt market firm in 1997.

In 2004, he became the chairman of the “Karvan İstehsalat Kommersiya Şirkəti” LLC, a company that emerged from the Sumqayıt market firm. Under his guidance, the company expanded and played a crucial role in the local economy.

Political Involvement

Ağamirzə Əhədov was also active in the political arena. He was elected as a member of the Sumqayıt City Municipality in 1999 and again in 2004. His political engagement extended to being a council member of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) in Sumqayıt.

Personal Life

Əhədov was married and had five children. He was known for his dedication to both his family and his work. His contributions to the community and his leadership in various capacities made him a respected figure in Sumqayıt.

Death

Ağamirzə Əhədov passed away on 4 June 2023. He was laid to rest in his birthplace, Çiyni village, Ucar District. His death was widely mourned, and he was remembered for his significant contributions to the business and political sectors of Sumqayıt.
