The 2024-25 season is Pau FC's 66th season in existence and fifth consecutive in the Ligue 2. They also compete in the Coupe de France.

Transfers

To prepare for the new season, Pau FC is making several changes to its staff and team ahead of the scheduled restart on July 1st 2024. Assistant coach Stéphane Lièvre is leaving the club and will be succeeded by Thibault Giresse, who joins from Nîmes Olympique, alongside Nicolas Piresse, who is promoted from the reserve team. Bruno Rohart will assume the role of head coach for the reserve team in Championnat National 3. Additionally, Jean Ruiz has extended his contract for another two seasons, despite receiving offers from Germany. Xavier Kouassi, who has played over 50 matches in the past two seasons, has activated an additional year on his contract. At 34, he is determined to demonstrate to the Pau FC management, who are reluctant to extend his contract, that he remains a valuable asset.^[2]

In terms of transfers, Antoine Mille arrives from LB Châteauroux, joined by Antonin Bobichon^[3] and Pathé Mboup. Taïryk Arconte becomes the most expensive player in the club's history, with a transfer fee estimated at €600,000. Tom Gomes has signed his first professional contract after spending the previous season with the reserve team.

Pau FC is also dealing with the departure of captain Henri Saivet under uncertain circumstances, despite his expressed desire to continue with the Maynats.

The club has achieved a record sale, transferring Moussa Sylla to FC Schalke 04 for €2.5 million.^[4]^[5] Sessi d'Almeida, Noé Sow, and Mons Bassouamina are leaving the club as their contracts come to an end.^[6]

Mehdi Chahiri and Loïck Lespinasse have been asked by sporting director Luis De Sousa to seek new opportunities. Diyaeddine Abzi is departing the club following the termination of his contract.^[6]

Finally, Pau FC will change its kit supplier, with Spanish brand Joma replacing Puma.
