The 1998 China Rally, officially known as the 555 China Rally 1998, was the second edition of the China Rally. It was hosted as part of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) and took place from 19 June to 21 June 1998 in Huairou, Beijing. The rally featured 383.42 km of gravel stages, with a total of 18 cars and 3 retirements.

[edit]The 555 China Rally 1998 was held from 19 June to 21 June in Huairou, China. The rally covered a gravel surface of 383.42 km, with a total event distance, including road sections, of 1444.00 km. There were 32 entries, with 15 finishing the race and 3 retirements.
The event was divided into three legs, each featuring multiple special stages. The rally concluded with Colin McRae and Nicky Grist securing victory in their Subaru Impreza S5 WRC '97.[1]
