The 1985 Edmonton Mid Air Collision was a mid air collision that took place on March 29th, 1985. The accident involved two C-130 Hercules flewn by the CAF inwhich were carrying 5 people each for show during the 61st Anniversary of the RCAF as part of a 3 wide formation. The two aircraft collided over CFB Edmonton, one C-130 (Trucker Two) came to rest on top of a wooden warehouse, the other (Trucker Lead) nose dived into the ground at the end of the primary runway of CFB Edmonton inbetween two large fuel cannisters that were carrying jet fuel. Additionally, the wooden warehouse was housing a WW2 Lancaster bomber and multiple cars, the crash and fire destroyed these completely.[1][2]
