Şükrü Üçüncü (born 26 July 1983) is a Turkish actor, playwright, and journalist. He is known for his avant-garde approach to theater, particularly with his development of "Chaos Theater" (Kaos Tiyatrosu). Üçüncü has also worked extensively in journalism and has been active in Turkish cinema and television.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Üçüncü was born in Trabzon, Turkey, and initially studied Mechanical Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University, although he did not complete the program. He later pursued studies in Radio, Television, and Cinema at Gümüşhane University, and also completed programs in Visual Communication Design and Media and Communication at Anadolu University.
Career

[edit]Şükrü Üçüncü began his media career in 2002 in Istanbul's Cağaloğlu district, where he worked in various newspapers as a reporter. His journalism work earned him numerous awards, including the Turkey Journalists Association's "Photo of the Year" and the Contemporary Journalists Association's "News of the Year."
Theater
[edit]In 2010, Üçüncü joined Gugulumdakiler Tiyatrosu and became a professional actor and playwright. He is the creator of "Chaos Theater" (Kaos Tiyatrosu), an avant-garde style emphasizing chaos, improvisation, and audience participation. He has performed in and written numerous plays, including:

- Kanlı Gömlek (2016)
- Elveda Alfredo (2018)
- Shakespeare’nin Sucu Ne? (2022)
- Köpek Kalbi (2024), an adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov's work
As part of his social responsibility projects, Üçüncü organized performances for children in rural areas, staging over a thousand shows in villages and schools.
