Donald Mastronarde

Donald J. Mastronarde is an American classical scholar, currently the Professor of the Graduate School, Emeritus Melpomene Distinguished Professor of Classical Languages and Literature at University of California, Berkeley and an Elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.[1][2][3]

Life and Works

Mastronarde was born in 1948 and grew up in Connecticut. He studied successively at Amherst College, University of Oxford and the University of Toronto before joining the Department of Classics at the University of California, Berkeley. His most recent work focuses on the scholia of Euripides.
