Desoto Acres is a census-designated place (CDP) in northwestern Sarasota County, Florida, United States. It is 4 miles (6 km) north of downtown Sarasota and is bordered to the east by Desoto Lakes.

Desoto Acres was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The population was 720 at the 2020 census. It is part of the North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The median household income was $68,986. 30.3% of the population 25 years and older had a Bachelor's degree or higher. The CDP had an employment rate of 73.1%. 10.9% of the population lived without healthcare coverage.
