Den sista resan (transl. The Last Journey) is a Swedish documentary film released on 1 March 2024. The film is produced by Filip Hammar and Fredrik Wikingsson. It is distributed by Nordisk Film. On 19 September, it was revealed that the film had been picked as the Swedish representative for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.[1] The documentary film is the most viewed documentary in Swedish cinemas ever with over 328,522 moviegoers.[2]
Plot
[edit]Lars Hammar a retired teacher is suffering from severe depression. To cheer him up his son Filip Hammar invites him to join him and Fredrik Wikingsson on a journey to France.[3]
